Our Founder and CEO
Michael Olsher, Ph.D
A seasoned university professor and senior business executive, Dr. Olsher has taught at many universities both on the graduate and undergraduate levels, including Columbia University Graduate School of Business and Fordham Graduate School of Business, both in New York City. In addition, he has lectured as a distinguished lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Economics at several universities, including the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Management and Florida Atlantic University’s Distinguished Lecturer Series.
Dr. Olsher earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.B.A., with distinction, in Economics from New York University Graduate School of Business, and a Ph.D in Economics from Fordham University in New York City.
Business Experience
Professionally, Dr. Olsher has been employed as a senior operating executive by some of the world’s largest international metals and minerals companies. He has founded, advised, or has been an operating principal in start-up and operating companies in diverse areas of business, including international steel distribution, metal beverage packaging, industrial minerals exploration, real estate development, systems hardware integration, AI robotics, and electronic surveillance. He also created companies in sports representation, sport facilities management, and sports television. These companies, under the OlsherSports banner, joint-ventured a charity celebrity tennis event with Nike in Madison Square Garden, in 1996, raising $500,000 for Brain Cancer.
He has been an C-Suite operating executive for manufacturing, processing, distribution, and service organizations, in both domestic and international business environments, as well as having served as the Executive Director for a large non-for-profit community institution.
Board Member
Dr. Olsher has served as a a member of the Board of Directors on many public, private, not-for-profit, university, civic, and community boards.
Teaching
Dr. Olsher is the former University Department Chair for Business Administration at Keiser University. He is, currently, an Adjunct Professor of Economics and Entrepreneurship at Keiser University’s Flagship Campus in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he teaches in the MBA Program in Strategic Planning (Capstone Course), International Business, and Finance. Previously, Dr. Olsher was the Chair of Entrepreneurship and Chair of International Business at Northwood University, Florida.
Community Involvement
Today, working with local SCORE business owners and mentors, Dr. Olsher has created SCORE RoundTables, where he conducts and moderates discussions on current entrepreneurship topics, such as Modern Business Modelling, Strategic Pivoting, and Testing New Ideas in the marketplace before proceeding with them.
